Anywhere: Funding Drives Donation Collection
Our goal is to provide a Christmas present for every child in the 13 villages we sponsor--approximately 1500 children between the ages of birth to 15 years. Contributions must be received not later than November 30th. Watch the newsletter and this site for more information. If you prefer to send a financial gift, we are happy to do the shopping and it saves postage and possible customs tax at the border!

Needs List Above and Beyond Our Regular Expenses:
Spiritual: Churches - Once again the mission has stepped out in faith and we now pay salary and benefits for two new pastors in our two new churches. Unlike most mission pastors, WELS does not pay these expenses for WELS Mission to the Children. During transition we are also paying salary and benefits for our missionary. We trust that the Lord will provide. If you can help there are several ways to donate. See below.
Bibles & Training Material - Anyone who asks receives a Bible. All communicant members receive a commemoration Bible. Bible studies are conducted in each village.
Humanitarian: Food Coupon Program - Each qualifying family receives a coupon valued at approximately $10.00 a month that can be exchanged at their local grocer for food. It may not seem like much, but in these villages $10.00 is a big help.
Medical - WELS Mission to the Children assists families with medical needs by paying for needed medical equipment, tests and x-rays, prescription medicines, medical examinations, eyeglasses, and transportation costs, when necessary. Our medical coordinator, Ruth Schaller, has been instrumental in helping families obtain diagnosis and treatment for a number of disabilities and illnesses. Contributions have been used to provide a wheelchair for a child with spina bifida, eye surgery for a blind child with glaucoma and diagnostic x-rays for a child with severe scoliosis. In Mexico the families are required to pay for tests and x-rays in advance of treatment; therefore, many medical problems would go undiagnosed and untreated without our intervention.
On-Line Credit or Debit Card:
We are able to accept credit or debit card payment with or
without a PayPal account from our Web page using your credit card. We are
using PayPal as the medium for processing your contributions, a system which is
used by most commercial Web sites and it has an excellent record for protecting
transactions. To use this convenient system, simply log on to our Web site on
the Home page, the Donations page, or the Contact page and scroll down until you
see the "Donate" icon on the page. You do NOT have to
register with PayPal to Donate!
Thank you, and may our Lord bless you richly for your generous and compassionate response to the very great spiritual and physical needs of these precious little ones! If you have any questions, please contact WELS Mission to the Children at info@missiontothechildren.org.
